SHARPER Night (Notte Europea dei Ricercatori) is a European-wide event aimed at bringing researchers and the public together through engaging demonstrations and discussions. On September 27, at the EXMA in Cagliari, researchers from the University of Cagliari (UNICA) took part in the event, showcasing their work and interacting with visitors of all ages.

Among them, Prof. Francesca Palumbo and Dr. Francesco Ratto were present to represent the team and share insights into their research. At their booth, they set up an AI demo designed for kids, allowing younger visitors to experience artificial intelligence in an interactive and playful way. Additionally, they presented the MYRTUS project, an initiative focused on advancing the AI-enabled computing continuum, which explores innovative ways to optimize computational processes across different computing environments, from edge to cloud.

The event served as an excellent platform for UNICA researchers to communicate their work to a broad, non-technical audience, fostering public interest in AI and the future of computing. Through hands-on demonstrations and direct conversations, SHARPER Night helped bridge the gap between scientific research and society, making complex topics more accessible and inspiring curiosity among attendees.
