The MYRTUS project was recently featured at the 4th workshop on Projects Cross-Synergy in Advancing Exascale Platforms and Quantum Computing (CONCERTO), held in conjunction with the HiPEAC 2026 conference,.
Building on the success of its three previous editions, the CONCERTO workshop serves as a premier forum for academic researchers and industry leaders to identify project specificities and foster synergistic actions. These collaborations are considered essential building blocks for the creation of next-generation (post-)Exascale hybrid platforms, including new European Petascale, Pre-Exascale, and upcoming Exascale systems and AI-factories.
This 4th edition involved a diverse range of EuroHPC-JU, Horizon Europe (HE), and national-funded projects. During the session, the MYRTUS project was presented, providing a comprehensive overview of its mission, the technical challenges it addresses, and its main objectives, alongside technical insights into its proposed solutions.
A central theme of the workshop was the integration of innovative heterogeneous hardware solutions—including a forward-looking vision on quantum computing—paired with specific software frameworks and the porting of complex application workflows. Participation in CONCERTO allowed MYRTUS to contribute to the collective effort of advancing European digital platforms and exascale computing,.
